The music arena is growing so fast that we aren’t able to keep up with everything and so many talented artists are lost in the crowd. Our minds are biased that way. We subconsciously flock towards popular artists and not the art of music (debatable I know). Breaking this pattern is a challenging task but not if you’re aware of your biases. This article is an attempt to appreciating the art more than the acquaintance. And if there’s a positive response I might do these regularly. Let’s get started.

1. Adventure Club

The first name that comes to mind is Adventure Club. They are a Candian duo actively producing since 2011, focussing on Dubstep and Progressive House. But their Chillstep music is very motivating and consolatory. I came to know about them from an Online Radio Station and this particular song has stuck with me ever since. Recently, I’m also listening to Wonder (feat. The Kite String Tangle).

2. Seven Lions

Seven Lions came to my notice when I first heard Strangers (his collab with Myon & Shane 54) about 2 years back. Jeff Montalvo, known by stage name Seven Lions, has performed at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival more than once in the past years garnering support from other well-known producers as well. Strangers is an uplifting and progressive single released back in 2013 and his best till date (some might disagree). Days to Come is great too.

3. Madeon

Shot to fame in 2011 by uploading a video mash-up of 39 songs on a launchpad without a break. I got to know about Madeon through word of mouth from a friend in college. The song was Finale and is still in my library. His debut album Adventure came out in 2015 and featured this song below that is at least worth 4-star rating.

4. Just A Gent

Started with music at the age of 8, Just A Gent is probably the youngest in this list. Hails from Australia and there was a time he wasn’t allowed to attend other DJ’s set as he was underage despite the fact he himself was a performer there. 20yo now and climbing the stairs of popularity, all his production is available on his SoundCloud.  Limelight is one of most calming electronic tracks one can come across.

5. Patrick Reza

Another emerging Dubstep sensation, there is yet a lot to come from Patrick Reza. I discovered this song from a neverending youtube binge listening quite a long time ago.

6. Dabin

Like others mentioned today, he started out as a remix artist and catching on to mainstream producing successively. Came across this song below just recently but have had Dabin Remix of Burn Up by ROLLZ from a couple of years. Enjoy.

That’s it for now. Do let me know which ones you liked more than the others.

6 Replies to “6 Lesser Known Electronic Artists You Need To Hear More Of

  1. Nice list with some massively under rated artists.

    1. I was waiting for your comment on this.. ?
About the underrated producers, I think there are levels with regard to their popularity. My post was aimed at the audience of Guetta, Skrillex, Avicii, Chainsmokers, Garrix etc.

Also, I know you’re discovering new music every day and have been doing that for a long time. That’s a compliment!! I will check out your recommendations for sure.
      Thanks! ?
